Located on the western slope of the Col du Truges.
Origin
From several plots of old vines on very steep slopes, gobelet-trained.
Winemaking
Hand-harvested, grapes macerated in vats.
Maturing
9 months in vats.
Tasting notes
Ruby-red colour, with a light, fruity nose of raspberry and peony and a silky finish: the most Beaujolais of all the crus.
Food pairing
As an aperitif, with barbecues, all starters based on white meat, seafood or fish, and all roast poultry. Lastly, it pairs very well with goat’s cheese and certain red-fruit or chocolate desserts.
