Located in the west of the Juliénas cru, in the hamlet of Les Chanoriers.
Origin
From a plot of old vines on a steep hillside, in the Les Chanoriers climat, gobelet-trained.
Winemaking
Hand-harvested, grapes macerated in vats.
Maturing
9 months in vats.
Tasting notes
Fairly deep ruby colour; the nose is both powerful and remarkably elegant. The palate opens on floral, then spicy (pepper) notes. Very fine tannic structure and lovely persistence on the finish, with liquorice aromas.
Food pairing
Roast game or game in sauce, duck breast, red meats, world cuisine. It pairs very well with slightly mature soft cheeses (Munster, Saint-Nectaire…).
